Just a quick note on a sad situation. I live in the FL Keys, and while
driving north spotted a forlorn looking MGB LE at a small garage. I stopped,
more out of curiosity, than anything,and inquired to the on duty mechanic
about the car. He kind of chuckled, and said that it belonged to a guy who
worked there who had kept the car outside, unprotected for "ten years". At
first I thought the guy was being facecious, but upon further conversation it
was evident that the car has indeed been sitting in the same spot for ten
years. The mechanic said that " the engine had blown", but otherwise the car
had been in cherry condition when it was brought in. Now, of course, the
paint is shot, the top gone, etc. but the body itself does'nt look half bad.
I just wish people would appreciate these cars a little better.
