AAA of Washington state will tow you anywhere you want, the catch is if
where you have it towed can't fix it its your $$ that tows it again.
I've had three different cars towed back home after they broke down (one
wasn't even mine, I was just driving it. Never any questions.

I like the theory of AAA (CAA here in Canada), but I don't
like that they aren't supposed to tow you back to your
house, they are supposed to tow you to a mechanic.
You might get a friendly driver who will bend the rules,
but you might not.
I can think of a thousand things that would strand me
by the side of the road, but almost all of them would be
something I would want to fix myself or at least diagnose
before I called for a mechanic.
I could imagine myself getting towed to a mechanic, then
having to catch a taxi home, to get another car to go
drive back with better tools to fix something in the parking
lot and then driving home.
