A head with about 100K on it?  I've had very bad experiences with heads.
 Each of my '77 B's had cracked heads when I tried to have the worn valve
seats replaced.  I ended up running a cracked head for the last few months of
the car's life just so I could drive it while saving money for a new one.
 New heads are about as much as a cheap parts car.  I hate to be the bearer
of bad news, but your head could be cracked...
