Spray Paint

Anybody ever "acceptable" success painting their car
with spray cans, a la touch up paint?

  It seems a waste to pay to spray my upcoming class racer
car, just so I can rub my paint onto the walls and fenders
of strangers... but it would be nice if it looked at least
acceptable.
