David, If this engine is fairly "new" and tight, your oil pressure is fine. If, however, the engine is old and tired, I believe that the spring in the oil pressure relief valve may have been stretched/replaced. Or you may have a stuck plunger in this relief valve. Either will bolster the oil pressure and mask greater than normal bearing clearances. My .02 cents. God Bless, -Vince San Antonio, Texas  |
