Having the heater hose touch the gas line is the concern, the idea being that the rubber hose _may_ not touch, but the copper pipe _will_ not touch...also much less hose to possible break leak or fray, in exchange for 2 more connections that may go bad...oh well. As for the cost, well, you do it once and then it's right permanently. Besides, if you polish up the copper pipe it looks quite nicer than an ugly old piece of heater hose..... |
