My problem was a little different.  When I start the car and warm it up
the temp guage runs up to 240.  After a few minutes at op temp the guage
comes back down to 200 - 210.  Inspection with the lazer temp guage
revealed the engine op temp during these readings was a steady 180.  My
electric guage came in yesterday.
