The subject of cooling is one I have had some experience with. I chased
this problem on my TR3 for years.
I did install a baffle in the front cowling to prevent warm air from
recirculating from the engine compartment. I made the baffle out of a
large cardboard box and then sealed the edges with duct tape. It did
help. Originally I intended the card board to be a template for an
aluminum one but I have never had the ambition to change it. My car
almost never gets driven in the rain so it is still intact years later.
        Best regards,
        Tom
