Drill a 1/8" hole in the end of the crack, this will relieve stress and
stop the crack from spreading.
Widen the crack with a cut off wheel or hack saw blade (or the tool of
your choice)
Drill 1/8" holes on either side of the crack about every 1/2".
Weld a small sheet metal plate on the inside of the door, weld through
the holes you just drilled as well as the crack area.
Prep and Paint.
PS I believe late MGBs as well as new doors (door skins?) come with a
re-enforcement there.
