The thermostat out of my scrapped SD1 motor seems sluggish in opening -
seems like 200 degreesF so I bought Canadian Tire one listed for Rover
3.5L. But the new one does not have that little hole with small crude
reverse valve in it. This is for some sort of blow back (steam?) I am
told. Question is ....Is this hole important or can I ignore its absence,
or do I drill a hole and make crude valve ?
