Jim, I use, don't laugh, PL 400 Construction Adhesive which you can buy
at a Home Depot for a couple of bucks a tube. If you bonding fibreglass
to sheet metal be prepared to loose both ITEMS if you try to separate
them. I have items that have been bonded together for several years: on
cars, on motorcycles, aircraft and even orthopedic shoes (polished
stainless steel to rubber soles).

Use a new tube, apply a thin coat to both surfaces with a fine tile
spreader and then press together by hand or? Let cure for 24 hours or
so and your finished.

Suggest you do a test piece.

This stuff never hardens like polyester resin or most epoxies. I hardens
but never to a brittle condition. You can add addiTIves to resins and
epoxies but there not as strong as PL 400.

This stuff doesn't replace welding but it's dame good stuff.

JIM
