Way to go Jim, we do a lot of alloy on a 12 inch Craftsman band saw. Use a block of parafin wax as lube by cutting into the wax periodically. Also works for drilling aluminum, but kerosene is the primo tap fluid. We also cut sheet alloy on a table saw by clamping between bits of scrap plywood.
