Hi John,
I also had a problem with the clutch being very grabby in 1st gear in my
TF. I found that tightening the rear transmission mount made a world of
difference. I need to redo it once or twice a year, but the clutch will
let you know when it's time. It has worked for me every time.
Also, I changed my transmission and differential oil over to 75-90W
synthetic oil and it has made shifting much smoother.
