Curt and Blake The thread is certainly not metric: the only metric threads are in the engine. It's probably BSF but TDs were made during the period of change to UNF so I guess that's possible. Check the bolt or if that's too damaged take out another and measure the tpi. If you need BSF it's worth enquiring at a fastener specialist or engineering shop: know that they are still made, I think by Heliciol or Recoil.
