Is there a particular torque setting for the U bolts on the TD rear leaf
springs? I get a bad vibration as I let out the clutch when downshifting
from 3rd to 2nd. However, if I rev the engine just before shifting, I do not
get the shakes. It has been suggested it could be
1) front motor mount
2) engine stabilizer
3) transmission mount
4) rear U bolts not sufficiently tight
The first three seem to be okay. The U bolts (new) are tight, but perhaps
not tight enough. How tight should they be and how much should the rubber be
squeezed?
