In 1989 I bought my TD at an auction here in the UK. The car was exported to
the USA where it had spent most of its life before being returned to the UK
sometime in 1989.It has long since been converted to RH Drive and totally
rebuilt. In the course of the rebuild I found a business card in the car for
an Auto Repair Specialist, which matches a label attached to the rear bumper
bar. The name is the Corte Madera British & European, 5768 Paradise Drive,
Corte Madera, CA 94925. The card is for one Robert J. Duncan and the
telephone number is (415) 924-1450.
Does this Business still exist as I would like to discover some history
about the car and of its previous owners. The registration number on the car
when re-imported was DOZ 968 and the documents with the car indicated that
it was registered until AUG 22 1989.
The last owner was listed on a copy of the validated Registration Card
issued by the State of California as Horton William F, 51 W. Shore RD,
BLVDR, TIBURON, CA 94920.
