Hi MMM experts,

What's the correct procedure to fix the scuttle securely to frame?

I understand nailing front rolled edge. Also appears there is a small tab or
"ear" which bends under on each corner near dash. With exception of item
below, any other screws required?

In fitting the scuttle to tub, It seems I need a screw or some other fixing
device, dead center near dash edge. Unfortunately, my original had 4 or 5
almost random holes (I'm guessing lift-a-dot posts, rear view mirror, etc.) so
I
filled them all in. I don't recall seeing anything on other PAs I've
observed, but wasn't looking that hard at that particular point. Perhaps I
need to
do a better job of fitting ... but sure seems it needs to be secured.

Do I weld a threaded post/bolt to underside?
Run a wood screw through the scuttle? If so, do I lead over?
Is it necessary to "hide" the slotted head?
Should I use any "construction" adhesive for added hold?

Any other tips/tricks to pass along?

Thanks,

Don B.
