I restored my cycle-winged PA a couple of years ago and put the 4.00 triple
stud tyres on it. After a while I thought it really looked under-tyred and
switched to the 4.50s last year.
I am really happy with the looks now and the tyres are not appreciably larger
so as to affect the gearing. In my opinion, fwiw, a standard winged P-type
looks good with the 4.00s anything else I would go with the 4.50s.
