Dear Bob,

Have contacted Mike Hawke and I'm afraid we don't have much more info than
you've got.  The only additional piece of information is that the car was
advertised by Smith Autocompany Ltd of Croydon, South London in January
1939, probably in 'The Sports Car'.

Apparently the chassis file is missing from Abingdon, which is why details
are so sparse.  Sorry can't help any further.
