I just used a complete MG Midget wire-wheel axle, but with new mounts welded
on to fit the spring spacing. Track was 2 inches wider than the original
(MGPB?) axle but it gave me excellent 7x1.75 inch shoes and cheap
(Hydraulic) cylinders. Uses same 42mm hubs as J/P etc.
