Buckeye Bullet represents future of transportation at technology worlds fair
in NYC - Sept. 29-Oct. 1.
The world's fastest electric car, Ohio State's Buckeye Bullet, will be on
display in New York City at Wired Magazine's NextFest Technology Worlds Fair.
The vehicle, which was designed and built by Ohio State students, will take
center stage at Booth 001 in the Future of Transportation Pavilion from Friday
through Sunday (9/29-10/1).
Student team members will accompany the Buckeye Bullet and talk about the car
and their experiences where the vehicle traveled 314.958 mph in 2004 to claim
the national land speed record, as well as their plans to design, build and
race the world's first hydrogen fuel-cell land speed racing vehicle.
WIRED NextFest is a four-day festival of futuristic products and technologies.
Over 50,000 people, including many young children, students and Wall Street
analysts, are expected to attend the event.
Wired is using Buckeye Bullet video to promote NextFest, and Discovery
Channel has received Ohio State permission to film in the Buckeye Bullet
booth.
