As per Dr. Mayf's reference to 747's with painted-over windows flying into
Area 51.....
An older tool & die maker I worked with had a story from when he was
working on the then secret SR-71 for Lockheed. Everyday he and his fellow
workers parked at a non-descript location and waited for a bus with no windows
to take them to work. Somedays the ride was short with lots of turns, someday
the ride was long with few turns - you can guess why. When the bus stopped it
was in a building with no windows, and it stuck around until quitting time to
take you home via the usual shenanigans.
Then one morning whilst everyone was busily making chips - armed soldiers
suddenly ran in and urged all workers to cease work and hit the bus - NOW!
Once seated, the bus made a very quick trip with few turns to the parking area
and everyone was instructed to go home and speak to no one! As soon as they
flipped on their radios for the drive home, news of President Kennedy's
assassination filled the airwaves.....
Once Lyndon Johnson made the existence of the SR-71 known, there were no
more secret busrides to the Lockheed plant in Burbank.
