The new LHM facility located between Grantsville and Tooele
(Two-will-a), UT (90 miles from the salt) had their press introduction
today. Tonight they announced an ambitious but very attractive slate
of races in 2006 for the 4.2 mile facility. They will host superbikes,
American LeMans Series, Vintage racing, SCCA sedan and GT class racing
and another race in a series for former Winston Cup cars among others.
There's also a four day high speed tour of Utah scenic roads where
anyone caught speeding will apparently pay their fine to a fund for the
families of Highway Patrol Trooper's who were killed in the line of
duty. The last day they will be able to open up on the track and go to
the limit in their cars. You can Google the name and find some
information but with the announcements just tonight the details
probably won't be on the web for a day or so.
