My '04 Duramax (310 hp version) w/3.73 gears & Allison is also the
quietest of the Ford/GM/Dodge diesel set-ups, whether at idle or going
down the road.
Overall fuel economy is 19 no trailer summer, 17 no trailer winter, 15
w/trailer summer (6x12 enclosed, 3500# gross trailer weight), ALL AT 62
mph or less.
