This car is the famous #999 from Bob Herda from the Knapp/Herda team.
Bob was killed in fire during a run with this streamliner - the car holds to
today a FIA record. The car was a great design - Bob done a fantastic
aerodynamic bodywork. The remains still exist, I saw the car - or better what's
left over - some years ago. I friend of mine is keeping the car on secrect
place, by some reason. Three years ago there was some people who was interest
to restore the car, but at last the group got not the money together, to get
the project running.
