The only con I am aware of is every rotten wire I have seen at Bonneville
the worst ones have always been ground wires. The corrosion runs right up
under the insulation for the length of the wire. So for me the fewer the
breaks in the grounds the better. I am sure some one smarter than me could
explain why but I am betting it has something to do with the chemical
composition of the salt.
