Nah, you don't wanna use the guys blood.  I'm sure he had the best of 
intentions.  Some things I have used in the past that worked were: C4, 
dynamite, cemtek, open flame above 2000F.   uhhh, will probably also remove 
paint.  WD-40 and then try to peel it off and scrape it away.  There's also a 
product named "goop away" or "goop off" or something like that that helped.  It 
is not an easy job!

Most any aromatic petrochemical that is hazardious to you and the
environment works well. Gasoline, carb cleaner, MEK... They will probably
take the paint with them as well.
