deck clearance"how low can you go?"

i would like to hear some thoughts on deck clearance. i.e : how low do you
go, running on the lakes? 2nd question is .....would you set it up dead
level or would you nose down the chassis set-up? and if so in a perfect
world to give optimum results.thank you , dad land
