Thanks guys, for all the help, both on and off line.  After many months of 
engineering and re-engineering, the Studebaker is finally out from under the 
two ton shop crane, and the hemi resides permanently where it belongs.  No 
hidden floor jack, blocks of wood, or cargo straps making look like it's in 
there.  As of ten minutes ago, I have finished fabricating a rear cross member, 
installed a stock Chevrolet rear transmission mount, fabricated an under engine 
cross member with solid steel motor mounts bolted directly to the ears on the 
hemi block.  Now that the motor and tranny are solidly in place, I can adjust 
my rear end to get the proper pinion angle, and weld up the rest of the rear 
suspension.  It's starting to look like a race car now!  I pop a silver bullet 
in honor of the help that all of you gave me.
