Part of my bias is because I think that there are more difficult technical problems to solve with traction-drive vehicles than there are with pure thrust-drive. (I will grant you that I think it required the most bravery to do what Andy Green did.) Can't say I agree with you here Russ. Sure,...........up to a point, pushing the thrust throttle open a bit more instantly adds speed. However, once that transonic barrier is approached the problems ramp up wholesale technically compared to sub sonic. A person of your apparent knowledge and understanding should appreciate this more than most. Getting back to Breedlove, whats happening there. Is his effort going to procede or is it now a no-show.
