Diesel Lakester Class?

Dan, Wes, J.D., etc.

As I read 'The Book', I don't see any reference to diesel powered lakesters.
Sure diesels are ok in streamliner, trucks, unlimited, hiway hauler and so
on, but not lakesters? If an otherwise lakesterish vehicle is diesel
powered, does that make it a liner?

Ok, and now to get us all off rear steer for a moment, what exactly is a
diesel? If I ran a vehicle without an ignition system (i.e. spark plugs and
distributor), would it be a diesel?
