  When I've asked that question what I got was.....

....a closing angle of greater than 7 degrees will cause the airflow to
separate from the body and create turbulance.

So according to my figuring....if you had a car/bike 3 feet wide, to taper
it to 0 it would have to be 10.2 feet from the widest point (36") to the end
of car/bike.

Very few cars/bikes actually get to 0, most stop about the width of the
chute canister.......

I hope to video and photo a lot of liners this year to see all the different
ways people deal with this very issue.
