Hi Doug,

I have the 8' fixture from Home Depot with those nifty "Hi-Output" tubes
(their ends are a single spring-loaded contact instead of the double
twist-ons).

LOTS OF LIGHT!!! ... and a real cheap solution. (They might tend to use up
the ballasts quicker ... maybe 2-3 years instead of 5-10).

My garage/shop is a 9' ceiling. If it were higher, I would consider a
reflective fixture instead of the classic white.

List, I am hoping that someone on the list knows about lighting.
The main part of my shop is 30' X 50' with 12' high walls. For the last
20 years I have used 11 florescent fixtures. Both 4' and 8' and have
never thought it was enough light. Anyone have any good ideas about more
shop light? And Keith, no smart remarks about me always being in the
dark. Doug Odom in big ditch
