Hello

Black Rock has a surface that doesn't provide a lot of traction. It's a bit
soft and crumbles when you drive over it. It also produces an unbelievable 
amount of dust. I think it would be a good place to check out wake turbulence
at about 80-100 MPH.
It's perfect for metal wheeled reaction propulsion cars because the wheels
sink in a bit providing lateral stability.

You can go out on the lake bed anytime except when it has been reserved for
special events. Check with the BLM in Winnemucca or call Bruno's in Gerlach.
