Gentlemen and Keith
The 200 mph club was established by the GRANT PISTON RING co. to honor those
who had achieved a record over 200mph.It was a prestigious group to belong
to. Those in the early days walked proud with this honor. Along the way many
things changed and the brave racers of the very early days were included on
the list.Several records not set on the salt are part of the list.
I don't recall what year Grant was dropped(shame) and the current 200 club
took over. The 200 club was never a SCTA club.
The one thing I would like to see is the that the club history be printed in
their booklet and available to all for reading.
