Lynn Paxton, a famous retired sprint car driver in Pennsylvania uses
"Buckwheat" constantly in conversations. It is used to enforce a previous
statement, "Bet me Buckwheat!" is his most used line. I've always thought is
was used in place of pal, bubby, or if your on the other side of the pond
