Every couple of years there is a Grand National, Busch or NASCAR car that
shows up to run on the salt. They are almost always well financed and well
prepared for racing but have problems with the salt surface and never reach
their pre-event projections for speed. (One ran using fuel that was created
from grass clippings to show it could be done.) Rarely do they come back
for a second year.
Look out Gribble, you may get something started here if you bring two cars
next year.
Good luck with the "Merc." It's a pretty piece and comes from a good home.
