I have to agree with Keith. ECTA/Maxton is still
a relatively new organization and is trying to
attract as many participants and as much money as
possible. Putting on a weekend meet is no nickel
and dime show!

No game is ever going to have a perfect set of
rules that will please every participant and
every spectator - - - consequently, you pick
where you fit within the rules, and then play by
the rules. If you can't live with those rules,
play another game somewhere else where they have
different rules.

Gawd knows, as far as racing in a straight line
goes, ECTA rules sure offer a much better weekend
than drag racing rules that say you either have
2.5 million dollars in your car if you want to go
as fast as you can go, or else you must go only
as fast as the speed marked on your window, and
don't "break out" and go too fast or you lose!!!
C'mon, "TOO FAST"??? in a racecar?????
