Regarding Joe Timney's report,he said..
"Mike Sweeney was riding Larry Foreststall's new turbo bike. Larry just got it
back from Bob Carpenter's shop a week ago and put 73 miles on it , riding it
around and in his words" Showing it off". Well, It ran 220+ Sunday Morning and
I've got to say "That Sucker charged the last half of the track!!! A street
bike...what is this world coming to!!! "
........In fact,Mike Sweeney was riding for
Eastern Cycle Performance on a normally aspirated 200+ MPH bike prepared by
ECP.
Credit for the 220 MPH turbocharged bike for riding goes to a man named Steve
Knecum who works for Bob Carpenter.
Fact is...the Bike Mike was riding is a totally reliable pump gas, user
friendly motorcycle that is highly tuned versus the radical turbochrged
application needed to go 220..............SOOOO,unless there are two Mike
Sweeney (Sweenii?),there was a small error. This info was provided to me by
