Larry, I wouldn' t go with Plexiglass ...... I highly recommend using
LEXAN . We used it on the front, back, and doors on our Black Radon
Engineering Firebird ..... no heat required, and you can drill it, so we
attached it with stainless ( what else ? ..... car was built for SALT flats
racing ) allen head flathead machine screws in countersunk holes, with
stainless elastic stop nuts on the inside . It worked out well, and about
as aerodynamically slick as it could be without filling in the allen head
hex openings . TAP Plastics stores ( California chain ) have a
fantastic supply of all these plastic materials ..... even tinted Lexan,
and also carbon fiber, which Doug built the dash panel out of ..... and
that polishes out as smooth as glass ! That's my take on it ......
You saw the car when you visited us at Speedweek ...... I still
recall you checking out the little details . Good luck, and just take
care not to scratch it while you' re working it ......
