Hi Allen, welcome to the list.
     The major problems we have had with drag cars being converted to dry
lake racing is roll cage tube sizes and thickness, very flexible chassis and
front ends that won't take any appreciable side loads. For directional
stability you will want to end up somewhere near 50/50 weight distribution,
this is a load that the usual dragster chassis is not designed for. It can
be done though but it isn't easy. I hope you can preserver though, I am sure
the in line six guys will welcome you with open arms. They take a lot of
flack from the flathead and Ardun guys here.
