I checked out the numbers on that supposed 402
Chevy Suburban motor that a local guy is trying
to sell me, and if I checked right, that's not
what the motor is. The number is: 103291 LM, and
I read that to be a 1969, 390HP 427 Corvette
motor, originally equiped with a Muncie 4spd. Am
I right? Didn't that motor have a forged crank
and some other goodies that would make it a user
for my Camaro (if I wanted to go faster than the
350 4 bolt will push it)?

Remember, I'm not building to look at class
records. All I want to do is build to do 200.001
mph one time. I don't need a hat or anything -
just one time slip! I will then have realized my
dream, and I go back to work on my old - slow
roadster for the rest of time!

It just seems that an inherently strong big block
with a little shot of nitrous might be a cheaper
way to accomplish my goal than to build a
stressed-out small block. How 'bout it guys -
what's your guidance here.
