Dan, I have run a converter some times but I do not feel comfortable
turning one nine grand. The converter builders that I talked to told me
that they could not build a small 8 inch one with a low stall speed. You
can still run as heavy of a flywheel as you want with coupler. 9000 RPM
is a lot of force on a piece of tin full of oil.
