Yes, 1/2", I checked it today. Did someone tell that what would seem to be
easy to fix would actually be easy? It's an Austin-Healey! Seriously, notice
that the open end of the wrench head is not aligned with the handle. You
need to tighten the nut as much as you can and then flip the wrench over and
tighten it a little bit more. Keep flipping the wrench until you get it as
tight enough to spot the leak. Also, find a wrench that is as short as
possible.
Been there, done that.

the problem is that even though i can get a wrench onto the nut, you can't
turn it because various obstacle prevent rotation of the wrench arm.....rich
