Listers,
*My *daughter lives in Lancaster, PA and she has tracked down a 2000 VW
Cabrio convertible with 72,742 miles on the clock. The car, a stick, (she
has driven a stick all her life), is in Virginia Beach, VA. Virginia Beach
is 330 miles away from Lancaster and I live 440 miles away in Laurel Park,
NC, just southeast of Ashville, NC.
This is her "dream car" and she wants to buy the car over the phone and I
won't let her. I can put a deposit on the car to hold it but I am told
the deposit is nonrefundable if I don't buy the car.
Is there anyone on the list in that or a nearby area that is willing to
check out the car? I don't want her to get burned on this.
I am a long-time Healey owner of almost 50 years and I would really
appreciate any help here.
