I have a lathe out in the garage. I got it for free. My friend who ran
this company no longer had any use for it. It has no digital displays
or counteers or anything like that. All the old machinists are gone,
the kids these days only know how to work CNC machines, they can't
figure out how to work all these levers and gears and such. I could
have gotten a nice milling machine as well, but it went to my friend's
shop. I did get to use it when I needed to, though. I should stop on
in their someday, see how the place looks. And maybe get back my big
clamping set.
