If it was hit on the right side in the past as you mentioned, you have othe=
r issues as well as the inner fender is attached to the inner sill, so if i=
t is one inch back, where is the end of your inner sill at the front? Is it=
one inch back as well? Something is not working out here or is it only the=
top part of it that was not stretched back toward the front far enough. Yo=
u may be opening a can of worm but fixing it is still the best way forward=
. Take lots of measurements, not just from each side but also in an "X" so =
you will see how far off you are on each side.

Not done, but underway. The vent is installed in the left wing (see photo)=
, and the right side is underway. But we have encountered some issues. Th=
e right side inner fender is about an inch further back than the left, and =
interferes with the vent. It looks like it was hit in that area in years p=
ast and poorly repaired. But, hey, nobody sees behind the fender, so who c=
ares, right? So that needs to be fixed. There are poor rust repairs on th=
e inner structure on both sides that should be addressed. The door hinge p=
late keepers are nearly rusted away. The heater blower was trashed and sho=
ddily repaired with fiberglass. I=92m adding headers and side-exit exhaust=
. The horn push tabs all broke and when I took the trafficator apart, I di=
scovered the base was broken into 3 pieces, which explains why the right in=
dicator would not stay on. I=92ll be working with Curt Arndt on that.
