Michaels-what a timely request. Just last week, I changed the oil in=0Am=
y MK1 Sprite. I normally use 30W conventional oil. When I went to the=0A=
various auto stores in my town, all I could find was synthetic or=0Asynt=
hetic blends. By luck one of the "Grocery" stores was selling some=0ACas=
trol 20-50 regular oil in a 5qt jug for $19.95. (closeout?) I=0Abought i=
t, and changed the oil and the car road tested ran perfect and=0Asounded=
great with clean oil and same oil pressure as previous. In=0Afear, I we=
nt back and bought the last two remaining jugs of this=0Aelixir they had=
on the shelf.=0ABack when these cars were introduced, multi-grades were=
just starting=0Ato become available and Geoff Healey stated that althou=
gh interesting,=0Athey would still recommend 30W. I plan to use it in th=
e 100 and BJ8,=0Aalso, as factory specified, in the Jensen-Healey. I hav=
e had occasion=0Ato see synthetics, due to there small molecular size, l=
eak out of=0Athese cars whereas the conventional oil will stay in.=0AI t=
hink if Geoff was still with us today, he would agree that there is=0Ano=
thing wrong with multi-grades but probably not recommend synthetics=0Aun=
less you could keep a diaper under your Healey. Hank=0A=0A=09-----------=
