I've always bought Group 24 batteries for my BJ8 with no fitment problem (but I
trimmed the wood backing block to give more boot space).
AFAIK, the 'group' number is a size designation.

an Interstate MEGA-TRON Plus 24 (as it has a 800 CCA rating), but
became concerned as to its size (width: 6.88 height: 8.75 length:
11.0).
Given the batterys 11 inch length would the boots lid close without
alteration?
