Just returned to our sons home in Portland Oregon after a very wet and
cool visit this morning to see Steve and Helen Pike and Steve's latest
creations at the All British Field Meet. Both the streamliner and the
endurance cars are very impressive. The craftsmanship that Steve, his
son and others have put into these cars is amazing. Many special
details but yet retaining the simplicity that you would expect from a
Donald Healey effort. Steve was kind enough to give a personal tour
that all standing under the tent was happily taking in. After years of
looking at historic photos it was great to see these replicas in the
flesh. Just a bit sad that we will not be there to see the cars on the
salt.
